Julius Caesar
As a result of Sulla's First Civil War, Julius Caesar became a dictator. Julius Caesar's rise to power started with his military service. During his time as dictator he tried to eliminate Rome's debt, restore previous laws, he canceled all interest payments, he dealt with widespread unemployment throughout Rome. Caesar also wanted to enhance the city's appearance.
Roman Republic
The dissolution to the Roman Empire occurred when Francis II gave up his title and released all officials and imperial states from their obligations to the empire. Even though the resignation was legal, this dissolution was not, and many states refused to acknowledge the end of the empire.
