Compromises of the Social War
The Social War Ends in 88 BC
The war ends due to Pompeius Strabo, and Sulla. The war was over, but around three hundred thousand men, both Romans and Italians, were killed during the struggle.
Enfranchisement of Italy
Even though Rome won in the field, the Italians got what they had demanded, they got the rights of Roman citizenship. The Romans gave away the franchise to all loyal Latins and Italians, and to every Italian who should be enrolled within sixty days of the passage of the law by praetor.
The Rise of Sulla
The rise of Sulla was a result of the Social War, that had a big effect on Rome. War was not new for Sulla, he had served as a lieutenant of Marius in the campaign against Jugurtha. After Sulla's rise, Marius's envy grew. This brought the beginning of Sulla's First Civil War.
